How to Make It:
- Ask your folks to help you with this one because you need to use the oven. Prehead the oven to 350 degrees Farenheit.
- Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. This will help keep the cookie sheet from being so messy and help you with cleaning up.
- Put 1 graham cracker for each person on the cookie sheet.
- Put 1 candy bar on each graham cracker.
- Put a few drops of food coloring into a paper cup. Use a different paper cup for each color. One at a time, color the marshmallows by dropping them into a cup with the food coloring and jiggling it around. This step is optional: All it does is color the marshmallows like summer flower colors.
- Put one marshmallow on top of each graham cracker & chocolate bar.
- Cover each "sandwich" with a graham cracker.
- Put the cookie sheet into the oven and bake for a few minutes until the marshmallow is soft. Don't leave them to cook alone, but stay and watch to make sure nothing burns.
- When you see the chocolate melting, they're done. Get some help to remove the pan from the oven.
- Gently squish the top down on each one to spread out the marshmallow. Let them cool for a few minutes, then wrap them up to take on your picnic.
You can do these in a microwave oven. Just use a microwave-save baking dish
lined with wax paper or parchment paper instead of a cookie sheet lined with foil. Set
the microwave to cook for 10 seconds at a time until the chocolate looks slightly melted.
Let everybody pick their favorite color. They're so good you'll hear "I want Smore!"
