Invisible Writing Magic

Invisible Writing Magic

This is so easy!

Write secret messages using a toothpick or Q-tip dipped in lemon juice.  Hold the paper over heat such as a light bulb or toaster to make the writing appear.

That's it!

So why is it fun?  There are all kinds of ways to use this trick to amaze your friends and mystify your family.

Try this one, for example:  Before you start your magic demonstration, write numbers between 1 and 10 on 10 different pieces of paper with the invisible writing method.  Hide the 10 pieces of paper around the room.  Ask someone from your audience to pick a number between 1 and 10.  Then ask them to write it down (so they can't change their mind later).  Once the number has been written down and revealed to you, ask the audience member to walk to the area of the room where you hid the piece of paper with that number and bring it to you.  Take the paper with a flourish.  Then gently wave the paper over a light bulb until the number appears!

Use your imagination to think of more ways to use invisible writing.

Note -- be careful not to hold the paper too close to the heat source for long periods of time.  The last thing you want to do is start a fire.  Younger kids:  get help before trying to do this trick!
