Today's Summer Daily Fun
Wind Catchers
Create your own pin wheels: Using paint, crayons, colored markers, glitter,
and whatever else you can think of, decorate a wooden dowel (for the handle) and
a 9 inch square of stiff paper, like construction paper. From each corner
of the paper, cut towards the middle, but don't cut all the way through. Leave
about 1/2 inch in the middle. You'll wind up with the square cut into 4 large
sections. Take every other corner of the cut edges and gently bend
to the middle (don't crease the paper). Then push a thumb tack through the tips
of the corners and through the middle of the pin wheel. Attach to the wooden
dowel, leaving room for the pin wheel to spin in the wind. Then have some fun
catching the wind!
