Ham Meatballs with Sour Cream Sauce
- l pound ground ham
- 1 1/2 pounds ground lean pork
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup saltine cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup whipped dessert topping
- 3 tablespoons horseradish
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Mix together the ham, pork, eggs, milk, and cracker crumbs in a bowl.
Form into 20 meatballs and place them in a single layer in a baking pan.
Mix together the vinegar, water, brown sugar and mustard. Pour over the
meatballs. Bake the meatballs for 2 hours in a 325 degree oven.
Serve with sour cream sauce.
Sour Cream Sauce
Mix together 1 cup sour cream, 1 cup of whipped dessert topping, and 3 tablespoons
horseradish. Serve with ham meatballs.
Serves 8
