Dreidel, Dreidel
Spin the Dreidel is a popular game played during Chanukah. Players use
pennies, nuts, raisins, or chocolate coins (gelt) as tokens or chips.
A dreidel is a four-sided top with a Hebrew letter on each side. Players take turns
spinning the top. When the dreidel stops, the letter facing up decides
the player's fate.
These letters mean, "A Great Miracle Happened There." In Israel the letters
mean, "A Miracle Happened Here."
